Alliance urges everyone to attend the Converse County Planning and Zoning Commission hearing

January 19 at 7pm in the basement of the Converse County Courthouse:

The P&Z Commission will consider (1) whether there should be a 3-month moratorium on industrial development in the mountains and (2) whether the County should adopt a targeted zoning resolution to protect the mountains from large scale industrial development – including wind development. Wasatch Wind Inc and a handful of landowners in the Boxelder/Mormon Canyon area are pushing ahead with plans to install an industrial scale wind farm across thousands of acres of mountain country – including the State-owned Duncan Ranch.
